Texas High School Basketball - Amherst ripped by Morton

The Morton Indians basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Amherst Bulldogs to 27 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Meadow for a 1A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Morton will battle a Broncos team coming off a 52-34 league win over Amherst (Amherst, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 9-10.

The Bulldogs (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX). The Elks enter the 1A Region I District 7 contest with a 6-8 record.
