Augusta Christian Lions (Martinez, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Ben Lippen Falcons (Columbia, SC), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Augusta Christian upgrades its record to 7-12 on the campaign. The Lions host Curtis Baptist (Augusta, GA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 14-7. Curtis Baptist won 61-23 in their recent league bout against Community Christian Academy (Martinez, GA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders (Columbia, SC) in a SCISA AAAA Region I bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Ben Lippen will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Highlanders come into the bout with a 19-1 record after their 74-33 non-league win over Laurence Manning Academy (Manning, SC).
