Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans (Aurora, CO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lotus School For Excellence Meteors (Aurora, CO), 37-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Aurora West College Prep Academy upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host DSST: Byers (Denver, CO) to play the Falcons in a 4A/3A/2A Confluence bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 6-8.

Next up, the Meteors play the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors (Denver, CO) in a 4A/3A/2A Confluence bout, on Monday, January 30. Lotus School For Excellence will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Raptors come into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 39-24 non-league loss to Fort Lupton (Fort Lupton, CO).
