Westover Patriots (Albany, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA), 57-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Westover upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hardaway (Columbus, GA) to clash with the Hawks in a AAAA Region 1 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 16-4. Hardaway won 66-22 in their recent league bout against Cairo (Cairo, GA)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the Shaw Raiders (Columbus, GA) in a AAAA Region 1 bout, on Saturday, January 28. Bainbridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 73-31 league loss to Westover (Albany, GA).
