Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) and the host Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA), saw Ballard's basketball squad knock off Carroll by a tally of 51-42.

With the victory, Ballard improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Bombers host Gilbert (Gilbert, IA) to play the Tigers in a Raccoon River challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Gilbert lost 49-46 in their recent league challenge against Winterset (Winterset, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA) in a Raccoon River challenge, on Friday, February 3. Carroll will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record.
