Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons (Madisonville, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Caldwell County Tigers (Princeton, KY), 62-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Maroons host Lyon County (Eddyville, KY) to clash with the Lyons in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Lyons go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Lyon County won 68-60 in their recent non-league bout against Christian Fellowship (Benton, KY)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Hopkins County Central Storm (Madisonville, KY) in a District 7 bout, on Monday, January 30. Caldwell County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 70-31 league win over Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY).
