In Friday's league match, the visiting Calhoun Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a decisive 71-28 triumph over the Woodland Wildcats.
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets face the Cass Colonels (White, GA) in a AAAAA Region 7 test, on Tuesday, January 31. Calhoun will attempt to advance on its 17-3 season record. The Colonels go into the test with a 13-7 record after their 64-49 league loss to Cartersville (Cartersville, GA).
