Dimond Lynx (Anchorage, AK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK), 51-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dimond upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Bartlett (Anchorage, AK) to play the Golden Bears in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Golden Bears come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Bartlett won 48-28 in their recent league bout against Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Monday, January 30. Chugiak will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 48-28 league loss to Bartlett (Anchorage, AK).
