The Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Gentry Rams (Indianola, MS), 39-36 in Friday's league test.
The Wildcats (20-1) will now prepare for their test against Greenwood (Greenwood, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region 3 test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Greenwood was tipped by Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS), 48-14, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Senatobia for a 4A Region 3 test on Tuesday, January 31. Gentry will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 50-35 non-league loss to Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.
