The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Clay-Chalkville Cougars to 45 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 20-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pelham for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30. Mortimer Jordan will meet a Panthers team coming off a 57-29 league win over Helena (Helena, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 15-11.

The Cougars (17-7) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 10-15 record.
