Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL) and the visiting Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL), saw Hinsdale South's basketball squad knock off Downers Grove South by a tally of 51-42.

With the victory, Hinsdale South improves its record to 17-11 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Addison Trail (Addison, IL) to play the Blazers in a West Suburban - Gold challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Blazers come into the challenge with a record of 8-16. Addison Trail won 35-33 in their recent league challenge against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Glenbard East Rams (Lombard, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 30. Downers Grove South will attempt to improve on its 15-12 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 44-25 league win over West Chicago (West Chicago, IL).
