Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen (Garland, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Highlands Blazers (Irving, TX), 34-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Garland Christian Academy upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Swordsmen host Alcuin (Dallas, TX) to clash with the Hawks in a TAPPS 2A District 3 bout on Monday, February 6. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Blazers clash with the Alcuin Hawks (Dallas, TX) in a TAPPS 2A District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record.
