Grissom Tigers (Huntsville, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Huntsville Panthers (Huntsville, AL), 55-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grissom upgrades its record to 6-15 on the campaign. The Tigers host Decatur (Decatur, AL) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-11.

Next up, the Panthers play the Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL) in a 7A Area 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Huntsville will attempt to upgrade on its 15-11 season record. The Senators come into the bout with a 19-8 record after their 66-14 league win over Albertville (Albertville, AL).
