The Marshall Redhawks basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Harper Creek Beavers to 36 in the Redhawks league triumph on Friday.

The Redhawks now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portage Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Marshall will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 40-24 league loss to Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-7.

The Beavers (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Waverly (Lansing, MI). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Waverly was defeated by DeWitt (DeWitt, MI), 54-34, in a league contest.
