The Heritage Hurricanes basketball squad scored 51 points and limited the visiting Phoebus Phantoms to 44 in the Hurricanes league win on Friday.

With the win, Heritage upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Hurricanes host Gloucester (Gloucester, VA) to play the Dukes in a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Dukes go into the bout with a record of 1-13. Gloucester lost 60-17 in their recent league bout against Woodside (Newport News, VA)

Next up, the Phantoms play the Denbigh Patriots (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Phoebus will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 0-14 record after their 75-11 league loss to Bethel (Hampton, VA).
