In Friday's league outing, the Highland Park Owls (Highland Park, NJ) basketball squad beat the visiting Metuchen Bulldogs (Metuchen, NJ), by a count of 47-36.

The Owls (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Delsea (Franklinville, NJ). The Crusaders go into the non-league outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Delsea was topped by Clearview (Mullica Hill, NJ), 60-29, in a non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now hold a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Perth Amboy for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 28. Metuchen will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 47-35 non-league loss to Kennedy Memorial (Iselin, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 6-10.
