The Lejeune Devil Pups basketball team (Camp Lejeune, NC), was nudged 40-36 in Friday's league battle with the host Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC)
The Trojans now possess a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Carteret for a 1A/2A Conference 3 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Jones will battle a Mariners team coming off a 75-61 league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 16-2.
The Devil Pups (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes come into the 1A/2A Conference 3 battle with a 4-11 record. In their last battle, Pamlico County was nudged by Southside (Chocowinity, NC), 54-37, in a league battle.
