Kennedy Cougars (Cedar Rapids, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA), 63-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Kennedy upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA) to play the Wahawks in a Mississippi Valley bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Wahawks go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Waterloo West won 54-25 in their recent league bout against Linn-Mar (Marion, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-20 season record. The Grayhounds go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 48-8 non-league loss to Keokuk (Keokuk, IA).
