Stratford Spartans (Nashville, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host LEAD Academy Panthers (Nashville, TN), 52-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stratford upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Whites Creek (Whites Creek, TN) to play the Cobras in a 2A District 8 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cobras come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Whites Creek lost 45-43 in their recent non-league bout against Northeast (Clarksville, TN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds (Nashville, TN) in a 2A District 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. LEAD Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
