Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ), 58-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mountain Ridge upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Mountain Lions travel to Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Vikings in a 6A Desert Valley bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 9-14. Sunnyslope lost 71-51 in their recent league bout against Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Lions play the Boulder Creek Jaguars (Anthem, AZ) in a 6A Desert Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 17-8 record after their 61-34 league loss to O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ).
