New London-Spicer Wildcats (New London, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Litchfield Dragons (Litchfield, MN), 49-37 in a league bout.

With the win, New London-Spicer upgrades its record to 16-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN) to play the Royals in a AA Section 5 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 13-10. Watertown-Mayer won 48-43 in their recent league bout against Annandale (Annandale, MN)

Next up, the Dragons play the Rockford Rockets (Rockford, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Litchfield will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 70-35 non-league loss to Glencoe-Silver Lake (Glencoe, MN).
