With the victory, Luverne upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Vermillion (Vermillion, SD) to play the Tanagers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Tanagers come into the challenge with a record of 13-0. Vermillion won 51-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Paynesville Bulldogs (Paynesville, MN) in a AA Section 3 challenge, on Monday, January 30. Redwood Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 48-34 league win over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN).
