In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Mashpee Falcons basketball team scored a decisive 65-31 triumph over the Nantucket Whalers.
In their next game, the Falcons meet the Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA) in a South Shore match, on Monday, January 30. Mashpee will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record.
With the defeat, Nantucket moves to 2-10 on the year. The Whalers travel to Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA) to meet the Vineyarders in a Cape & Islands match on Saturday, January 28. The Vineyarders enter the match with a record of 3-2. Martha's Vineyard Regional lost 38-27 in their recent league match against Monomoy (Harwich, MA)
