The Middle College Cougars topped the host Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks basketball team by a final score of 34-14 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league game, on Monday, January 30. Middle College will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record.

With the defeat, Math & Science College Preparatory moves to 5-14 on the year. The Sharks travel to New West Charter (Los Angeles, CA) to face the Eagles in a Crosstown game on Friday, February 3. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 10-1. New West Charter won 29-25 in their recent league game against Foshay (Los Angeles, CA)
