The Middlesex Chargers basketball team (Saluda, VA), was nudged 25-19 in Friday's league battle with the host Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA)

The Blue Devils now possess a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carver College and Career Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31. Mathews will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-9.

The Chargers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Carver College and Career Academy was nudged by West Point (West Point, VA), 45-22, in a non-league contest.
