Kansas High School Basketball - St. James Academy tops McPherson

January 27, 2023: McPherson, KS 67460

St. James Academy Thunder (Lenexa, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host McPherson Bullpups (McPherson, KS), 56-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. James Academy upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Southeast (Wichita, KS) to play the Golden Buffalo in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Golden Buffalo come into the bout with a record of 10-3. Southeast won 43-34 in their recent non-league bout against Clearwater (Clearwater, KS)

Next up, the Bullpups play the Clearwater Indians (Clearwater, KS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. McPherson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 43-34 non-league loss to Southeast (Wichita, KS).
