North Carolina High School Basketball - Neuse Charter topped by North Duplin

The North Duplin Rebels basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Neuse Charter Cougars to 36 in the Rebels league victory on Friday.

The Rebels now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakewood for a 1A Conference 10 contest on Tuesday, January 31. North Duplin will battle a Leopards team coming off a 50-44 league win over Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 10-7.

The Cougars (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A Conference 10 contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Hobbton dropped by Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), 48-37, in a league contest.
