New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team achieve victory over the host Pewitt Brahmas (Omaha, TX), 49-36 in a league battle.

The Lions now possess a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atlanta for a 3A Region II District 14 battle on Tuesday, January 31. New Boston will confront a Rabbits team coming off a 42-40 league win over De Kalb (De Kalb, TX). The Rabbits record now stands at 15-8.

The Brahmas (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Queen City (Queen City, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region II District 14 battle with a 17-11 record.
