The Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC), 69-38 in Friday's league test.
The Vikings (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars go into the 1A Conference 9 test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Rocky Mount Prep was trounced by North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC), 51-39, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host KIPP Pride for a 1A Conference 9 test on Tuesday, January 31. Wilson Prep will encounter a Pride squad coming off a 64-15 league loss to Northampton County (Gaston, NC). The Pride record now stands at 0-11.
