In Friday's league outing, the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) basketball squad felled the host South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC), by a margin of 46-36.
The Patriots (8-10) will now prepare for their outing against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack go into the 1A/2A Conference 5 outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, Whiteville was beaten by East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC), 61-34, in a league outing.
The Stallions now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to West Columbus for a 1A/2A Conference 5 outing on Tuesday, January 31. South Columbus will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 40-19 league loss to Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-15.
