Texas High School Basketball - Vela trounces Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North

The Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders (Pharr, TX), 71-29 in Friday's league test.

The Sabercats (25-4) will now prepare for their test against McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region IV District 31 test with a 14-15 record.

The Raiders now own a 7-21 record. They play next when they host Sharyland for a 5A Region IV District 31 test on Tuesday, January 31. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will encounter a Rattlers squad coming off a 37-21 league loss to Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 20-10.
