Pierce Bears (Arbuckle, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Willows Honkers (Willows, CA), 81-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Pierce upgrades its record to 20-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Winters (Winters, CA) to clash with the Warriors in a Sacramento Valley bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Winters won 53-45 in their recent league bout against Live Oak (Live Oak, CA)

Next up, the Honkers clash with the Durham Trojans (Durham, CA) in a Sacramento Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Willows will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 12-12 record after their 37-29 league loss to East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA).
