Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR), 58-19 in a league bout.

With the victory, Powder Valley upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Badgers travel to Imbler (Imbler, OR) to play the Panthers in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Friday, February 3. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 14-3. Imbler won 47-32 in their recent league bout against Wallowa (Wallowa, OR)

Next up, the Spartans play the Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Saturday, January 28. Pine Eagle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 38-25 league loss to Wallowa (Wallowa, OR).
