The Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA), 50-36 in Friday's league test.
The Bearcats (10-7) will now prepare for their test against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA). The Rebels go into the 5A District 2 test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, West Monroe notched a victory over Pineville (Pineville, LA), 34-24, in a league test.
The Chiefs now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they host Alexandria for a 5A District 2 test on Tuesday, January 31. West Ouachita will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 34-33 league win over Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-9.
