Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX), 46-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Stratford upgrades its record to 18-9 on the season. The Elks host Gruver (Gruver, TX) to clash with the Greyhounds in a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 14-0.

Next up, the Comanches clash with the Sunray Bobcats (Sunray, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. West Texas will attempt to upgrade on its 17-11 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 18-10 record after their 59-56 league win over Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX).
