Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Williamson Warriors (Tioga, PA), 51-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Towanda upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Black Knights host Berwick (Berwick, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-14.

Next up, the Warriors play the Troy Trojans (Troy, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Williamson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 56-29 league win over Wyalusing Valley (Wyalusing, PA).
