Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA), 33-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cumberland upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Dukes host Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to play the Statesmen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Statesmen come into the bout with a record of 0-8.

Next up, the Raiders play the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Amelia County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
