Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), 22-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dixon upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Richlands (Richlands, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 5-11.

Next up, the Cougars play the White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Croatan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
