Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC), 20-11 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Holmes upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Aces host Currituck County (Barco, NC) to play the Knights in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Panthers play the Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Pasquotank County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
