New Mexico High School Basketball - Moriarty knocked off by Pojoaque Valley

The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Moriarty Pintos to 25 in the Elks/Elkettes league triumph on Friday.
The Elks/Elkettes now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Los Alamos for a contest on Thursday, February 2. Pojoaque Valley will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 50-31 non-league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 5-5.
The Pintos (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Robertson ran past Raton (Raton, NM), 53-15, in a non-league contest.
