Goldsboro Cougars (Goldsboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Beddingfield Bruins (Wilson, NC), 46-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Goldsboro upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Princeton (Princeton, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-9.

Next up, the Bruins clash with the North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Beddingfield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 64-41 non-league win over Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC).
