North Carolina High School Basketball - Bertie can't hold off Gates County

The Gates County Red Barons basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Bertie Falcons to 49 in the Red Barons non-league victory on Friday.
The Red Barons now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverside-Martin for a contest on Tuesday, January 31. Gates County will battle a Knights team coming off a 83-42 league win over Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Knights record now stands at 12-1.
The Falcons (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Tarboro was nudged by Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC), 83-42, in a league contest.
