The Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC), 59-54 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cardinals (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 16-2 record. In their last test, Mooresville was tipped by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 34-28, in a league test.

The Comets now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Sugar Creek for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7.
