The Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team (Indian Trail, NC), dropped 53-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC)
The Cavaliers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marvin Ridge for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31. Cuthbertson will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 38-36 non-league loss to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 11-3.
The Pirates (3-11) will now prepare for their battle against Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Weddington prevailed over Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 37-27, in a non-league battle.
