The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball crushed the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 51-29 in Friday's non-league test.
The Gryphons (15-1) will now prepare for their test against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses go into the non-league test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Owen was trounced by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 37-30, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Bessemer City for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. East Gaston will encounter a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 68-57 non-league loss to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-14.
