California High School Basketball - El Capitan can't hold off Golden Valley

January 27, 2023: Merced, CA 95348

The Golden Valley Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and held the host El Capitan Gauchos to 46 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Valley for a contest on Friday, February 3. Golden Valley will battle a Hawks team coming off a 88-55 league loss to Atwater (Atwater, CA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-14.

The Gauchos (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Patterson (Patterson, CA). The Tigers enter the contest with a 4-8 record.
