North Carolina High School Basketball - Elkin knocked off by Surry Central

The Surry Central Golden Eagles basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks to 32 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forbush for a contest on Tuesday, January 31. Surry Central will battle a Falcons team coming off a 71-43 non-league loss to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-13.

The Buckin' Elks (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Starmount was defeated by East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 53-28, in a non-league contest.
