Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC), 50-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairmont upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Clinton (Clinton, NC) to play the Dark Horses in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Dark Horses go into the bout with a record of 3-9.

Next up, the Raiders play the Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 44-38 non-league win over St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC).
