The Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) basketball knocked off the host North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC), 56-47 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs go into the test with a 1-16 record. In their last test, Smoky Mountain went down by Erwin (Asheville, NC), 58-56, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to East Henderson for a test on Tuesday, January 31. North Henderson will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 51-40 non-league win over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 14-3.
