Helena Huskies (Helena, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL), 74-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Helena upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Huskies travel to Thompson (Alabaster, AL) to play the Warriors in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Panthers play the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils (Kimberly, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Pelham will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 51-39 non-league win over Pell City (Pell City, AL).
